Jensen
Eric Jensen is an inventor and builder of bowed electric instruments since 1983, following a career as a professional cellist, composer and teacher. Jensen instruments are available with a choice of state-of-the-art pickups, beautiful natural hardwoods, color finishes, MIDI, and wireless systems. Eric Jensen also makes semi-custom instruments from standard designs, and entirely custom-designed instruments.
Barbera Pickups are provided. Options include:
- Stereo Twin Pickup. This deluxe version of the Barbera pickup features two transducer elements per string, giving enhanced tone quality and extra smooth performance overall. The Stereo Twin is an extra cost option on 4 and 5 string violins. It is standard on 6 and 7 string violins.
- Selectable Poly/Mono Output Option. Provides a choice of mono and polyphonic (each-string-separate) outputs. The polyphonic output can operate a Roland VG-8 processor and other multichannel, non-MIDI devices.
Four, five, six and seven string models are available. Five string models use a low C string, combining the ranges of the violin and viola. Six string models use low C and F strings. Seven string models use low C, F, and Bb strings.
