Sonic Violins
UK-based Sonic violins is operated by Richard Roberts, a violinist himself who has been engineering for many years, and started to sell his instruments a couple of years ago. All Sonic Violins are originally built in China. All of them are high quality hand crafted instruments carefully selected and imported from Beijing. They are transformed to electro-acoustic violins by Richard with a series of carefully selected components.

Two grades of instruments are available:
Sonic Attack
Based on high quality handcrafted violins imported from one of the top Beijing factories, the Sonic Attacks are hand built by small specialist teams from raw material to finished instrument. They use the traditional combination of spruce top plates and figured one or two piece maple backs with inlaid purfling, maple ribs and scrolls, ebony fingerboards, pegs and enpins and are fitted with an integral 4 way adjustable metal tailpiece.
Sonic Classic
For players looking for the highest quality instrument, for orchestral and solo acoustic performance as well as for amplified use, the “Sonic Classic” is available. It is built with the same system as others in the Sonic range, but the violins are specifically selected from the Beijing workshop. They are made to the highest standards.
All Sonic instruments can be offered in a customized finish as well, for example in “Flip Paint”. Matching bows are also available.
