Carbow

Short description:

The Carbow concept comes from Jean Grunberger and Stéphane Vaiedelich, who intended to develop the "French carbon fibers bow". Together with Olivier Philippot, expert on composite materials, they developed a complete range of composite bows which offer style, feeling and tone quality. Carbow offers bows for violin players of all genres. All bows are made in the south of France, according to local skills and traditions. Hairing is conventional, and bows can be rehaired by any bowmaker. The bows are available through a number of retailers listed on their website.

Bows:

Carbow supplies bows for all common bowed string instruments. Their violin bows are available with Ebony frog or snakewood frog, weigh 59 to 62 grams and have traditional hairing. The equivalent viola bow weighs 79 to 82 grams.
