Barbera

Transducers:

Barbera bridges are known for their tonal richness, clarity of sound, responsiveness and focused power. They feature all maple construction with separate, dual piezo element transducers for each string. The transducers are resonantly responsive to horizontal string vibrations and general instrument tonalities. The bridges are passive and produce a high gain signal without reliance on a pre-amp or other electronics for operation. Each Barbera Transducers Systems bridge receives individuel attention in a similar way as instruent voices are optimized by a luthier.

The multi-transducer bridges for violin are available in various models for electric violins and in kit form for the conversion of acoustic violins into pro level acoustic-electric violins.

Short description:

Barbera Transducers is a company specialized in the production of multi-transducer bridges for stringed instruments. A Barbera transducer, the standard or hybrid model, can be mounted on an acoustic violin, giving it all the power of an electric instrument. Existing electric instruments can also be modified with a Barbera electric violin pickup. Besides violin pickups, Barbera also produces cello pickups and upright bass transducers.

In 1986 Barbara Transducer Systems introduced the worlds first passive electric violin multi-transducer bridge with a pickup for each string. From then on, BTS bridges have become a respected standard in the electric violin field and are offered on many of the finest custom electric violins on the market today.
